Obituary for Judy Ann Weller

At the age of 82 years, our loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Judy Ann Weller died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. She was born to James and Dorothy (Socia) Bellor on October 28, 1935 in Bay City, where she resided all her life. Before her retirement, Judy was a registered nurse employed with the former Samaritan Hospital and Bay Osteopathic Hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Church (St. Jude Thaddeus Parish). Judy was very artistic and enjoyed music, singing in the choir, her lay ministry and lectoring at church. Her interests included traveling, camping, casino trips, bingo, scrabble, euchre, and crossword puzzles, as well as crocheting and knitting. Spending time with family, especially her grandchildren was a great joy to her.

On October 24, 1958, Judy was united in marriage to James E. Weller and they shared their lives together for over 53 years until his death on October 22, 2012. Surviving family members include eight children, Mary (Walter) Lukowski, Robert Weller, Timothy (Yvonne) Weller, David (Diana) Weller, William R. Weller, Gerald (Joy) Weller, Thomas (Kristina) Weller, and Jeffrey (Shawna) Weller; 23 grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother and one sister, Greg (Anne) Bellor and Yvonne (John) Waibel; and sister-in-law, Audrey Bellor. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a daughter, Bonnie Weller; a grandson, Anthony Katzvinsky; as well as a sister and brother, Darlene (Joseph) Terbrack and Ronald Bellor.

The Weller family would like to thank the staff at Bay County Medical Care Facility for all their compassionate care shown to Judy.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. Joseph Church), 1005 Third at Grant Streets, Bay City, MI. Judy will lie in state in church Friday after 10:00 AM. Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik will preside and Rite of Committal will follow in Floral Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to M.A.D.D. (Mothers Against Drunk Driving).
