Obituary for Dorothy M. Moquin

Mrs. Dorothy M. Moquin, of Munger, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, October 17, 2017 at Huron Woods Nursing Center, age 86. The daughter of the late Walter and Esther (Huebner) Bleck, she was born on February 24, 1931 in Bay County. Dorothy was a graduate of T.L. Handy High School and went on to complete the Institute of Banking course at Delta College. She retired in 1985 as the branch manager of National City (PNC) Bank in Munger. Dorothy was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish – St. Norbert Church, Munger where she was active with the Altar Society and the League of Catholic Women and Men. She enjoyed boating, camping and fishing and also loved to travel.

On November 27, 1948 Dorothy married Duane T. Moquin and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2017. She is survived by their son and daughter: Thomas (Sharon) Moquin of Alger and Debra (Joseph) Megger of Bay City; eight grandchildren: Craig Moquin, Carrie (Trevor) Stemple, Shannon and Kelly Shea, Cortney (Graham) Greene, Ashley (Michael) Hadd, Brandon (Amy) Moquin, and Erin (Beau) Bergstrom; 17 great-grandchildren; her sister: Jeanne Posthuma of Rockford, MI; and several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was also preceded in death by a son: Richard Moquin in 1998; and great-grandchildren: Richard Thomas Hadd and Mollie Moquin.

The Moquin Family is grateful to the staff of Huron Woods Nursing Center for the loving and compassionate care extended to them at this most difficult time.

It was Dorothy’s desire for cremation to take place and that no services be held. Private interment will take place at St. Patrick Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Trahan Funeral Chapel. For on-line sentiments: www.trahanfc.com
