Obituary for Bryce C. Sturtz

Born on 11/30/1971 to Martin and Unifern Sturtz, Bryce left his family and friends to be with his Lord and Savior on 5/10/2018. In that moment, he left his demons behind him and joined loved ones in taking him on the journey of his life. Bryce leaves his parents to mourn his loss. His older brother, Eric (Heather), reside in Tennessee. Eric loved him and is saddened by the loss of his only brother. Bryce left Uncle Mar, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends until the Lord brings us all together. Bryce’s service dog, Whitey, was very loyal and was with his friend as he left us and stayed by his side until your Mama came and his job was done.
Jade, thank you for giving Bryce your friendship and help when needed. Steve and Jamie, your friendship was given in love. Wayne, you were a friend for all time, take care of Sophie. Dave, for many years of friendship. Brad, you were more than a cousin to Bryce, we love you. It would take so much paper and words to express to those who loved my “Brycie Baby”.
You were the best athlete Bangor has ever watched grow and may never again. Your heart and body gave it all to your sports. Coach Hart and Coach Loop had the best. Your records as a Class A player and Golden Helmet award winner and All State Athlete tell it all. So many fans loved watching you and cheering you on. You gave us all quite a show to be remembered. Bryce graduated JGHS in 1990. You played at SVSU for 2 years until you were hurt and your spirit was broken and your body injured. Thank you Mr. Horning for your kind words.
The roller coaster of life began a rocky ride for all of us for many years. On 6/28/2006, all of our lives were filled with joy the day your Daughter and miracle, Brooklyn Elizabeth Sturtz was born to you and her mother, Tiffany. Brooklyn, you are the best trophy your daddy could ever give us. Grandma and Grandpa love a girl with the biggest heart and much love to give. May you keep good memories of your Daddy and enjoy life as you should. We hope your life and your own accomplishments bring you joy. We are so proud of the gift left behind to cherish and love always. Keep a smile on your face.
Lord, let us be strong as our world is changing with our loss of Bryce and will never be the same without him. Bryce, we will try to rebuild our spirits with the good memories we have and more to make. Brooklyn will be cared for and loved always. JGHS will be your future family and guidance counselors. These words are written by his mother who loved him to the last day and last breath. You always did say I got the last word. I did my best. God speed my Son. To those who called with condolences, hugs and love, we Thank You.
